Comments

Follow up to Rpt # MBEK-B7BU5F.

- Cooked noodles that had been cooled were measured at an internal temperature of 3 to 4 degrees C. Noodles were observed to be stored in a shallow layer in a container located within the walk in cooler. Reminder not to overfill containers used for cooling as overfilling may prevent rapid cooling.
- Bus bin with holes was not observed on site at time of inspection
- Some areas noted on previous report were observed to be cleaned (floor located behind chest freezer, interior door panels of preparation cooler, metal rack located next to cook line)
- It was stated that one staff member has registered for FOODSAFE Level 1 to be completed at the end of January.

The following remains outstanding:
- Ensure that take out containers are not being used to scoop foods as they are not intended for this use. Ensure that all scoops are stored in a sanitary manner. If purpose-built scoops with handles are used, ensure that they are stored in a manner that prevents potential contamination of food (scoop handles must not be in contact with food products)
- Ensure that all door seals for freezer are in good working condition. Provide new door seal(s) as necessary. It was stated that a technician has been contacted in regards to the door seals; however, no time frame for door seal arrival and installation was provided.
- Ensure that once received, copies of FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent certificates are kept on site for review by the Environmental Health Officer
- Ensure that all remaining areas noted on the previous report dated December 21, 2018 are properly cleaned

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Environmental Health Officer.
