Comments

Ignite Catering (previously Fireside Catering) no longer produces salsa and other products for the store.
Nature's Pickins' contracted staff from Well Seasoned to prepare soups and other food items to be sold frozen under Nature's Pickins' brand.
New items installed in the kitchen:
*Regular entrance door to kitchen (previously a bay door)
*Commercial dishwasher (in addition to the 3 compartment sink)
*Electric stove and two induction ovens
*New stainless steel prep table beside the gas stove
*Side vent added to the kitchen - contact City of Abbotsford Building Dept. for approval
Note: Health approval of the kitchen does not exempt you from obtaining approval from other agencies.
INSPECTION:
-Hand sink stocked with liquid soap and paper towels,
-Sanitizer (quats) available at 200 ppm.
-High temp dishwasher reached 73 deg C at plate surface.
-Walk-in cooler was at 1-2 deg C.
-Freezers were at -22 to -24 deg C.
-Temperature log was available and up to date.
-Observed properly cooling of soups
-Staff in the kitchen have valid Food Safe 1 training.
-Observed no signs of pests (pest control monitoring in place)
-General sanitation was satisfactory at time of visit.
Items to address:
1. Submit complete list of products produced on-site for retail sale at the Nature's Pickins' store
2. Submit completed FSP/San Plan for small processor for review and approval
2. Submit copies of FS 1 certificates (staff and operator)
3. Submit samples of labels for products
