Introduction

An unscheduled/scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing of Practice (DLSP). All categories of care were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated September 19, 2023 there were 15 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The following education/recommendations were provided: - Lead in the Water – flushing the pipes to remove any impurities before using the drinking water. - A child who required extra support as per the parent’s request on the registration form had a care plan in place but connection with the CDC was not yet made. Since it is the beginning of the preschool year the Supervisor did not have an opportunity to contact CDC person but will be in touch with the CDC person shortly.
