Introduction

This is a follow-up inspection completed with the Manager to the routine inspection report # CRAU - BHHQF4 (completed on November 1, 2019).

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 31290 - RCR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must ensure that all rooms and common areas are (b) maintained in a good state of repair.
Observation: The Manager advised the writer that the front railings for example have been sanded down. The Manager followed-up with BC Housing and the front railings and the backyard railings will be addressed in March 2020.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all rooms and common areas are maintained in a good state of repair.
Date to be Corrected: Please keep the writer updated as to when this fully addressed.

HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE: 35040 - RCR s.63(1) - A licensee must ensure that all food is safely prepared, stored, served and handled.
Observation: The freezer component of the kitchen refrigerator did not have a thermometer in it to ensure the required temperature is being met.
Corrective Action(s): The Manager will ensure there is a thermometer in the freezer component and please ensure the temperature is maintained at -18 degrees Celsius.
Date to be Corrected: The Manager stated a thermometer will be purchased on Friday, December 13, 2019 so this item is addressed.
