Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). Evidence for this report was based on the Licensing Officer’s observations, review of the facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of inspection.
The following areas were reviewed:

· Polices & Procedures
· Care & Supervision
· Hygiene and Communicable Disease Control
· Medication
· Nutrition and Food Services
· Program
· Records and Reporting
As part of the routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year “historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR # have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

There was no contravention noted during this inspection. Thanks for maintaining the facility in compliance.

The following were discussed and which required your attention:

1. Please ensure you have obtained all the required information from parent (i.e including their doctor's name). Please not to leave them blank, you may put N/A or no information if appropriate.
2. Please develop a care plan for a child by March 29, 2018. (please refer to section 58 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation)
3. Please ensure you have obtained parent's authorization before administer medication to children. The administration authorization must be completed (i.e. including the name and dosage of the medication, when to administer and etc.)
4. Please review the manufacturer's manual of the trampoline. Please put a safety plan in place in terms of how to use this equipment to avoid any injury. Please submit the plan to me by March 29, 2018.
5. The written active play and screen time policies have not developed. A staff stated that the facility policies have been communicated with the parents. Please develop the policies in written and submit them to me by March 29, 2018.

Please submit a care plan, safety plan for the trampoline and active ply and screen time policies by March 29, 2018.
