Observation: Buffet line does not have sneeze guards.
Corrective Action(s): Place sneeze guards or some barrier at buffet line between the food and patron to protect food from contamination (when patron's cough/sneeze). Correct by February 9, 2024. In the interim, staff should monitor the buffet line.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Mice droppings seen in the back storage area (corner of shelving unit) and along the wall behind chest freezer.
According to operator, pest control services are only for the exterior of the building which is managed by landlord. No pest control reports provided.
Corrective Action(s): Premises must be inspected for rodents daily. Remove droppings immediately and sanitize this area.
Clean premises thoroughly.
Pest control services must be in place for inside the establishment. Correct immediately.
To prevent food from being contaminated:
1. Wipe down all surfaces with bleach solution before getting started each day.
2. Keep all food bins closed.

Observation: 1. Poor sanitation. Food debris and grease noted throughout establishment.
2. Buffet unit - water not emptied at the end of the day. Dead flies noted floating in water.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Clean surfaces top to bottom. Equipment should be visibility clean, free of food debris and grease. Floors, walls and junctions should be free of grease and food debris.
2. Buffet unit must be emptied at the end of the day.
Correct immediately.

Observation: Counters, shelves, sides of cooking equipment, floors, walls, junctions, areas behind equipment all full of either food debris, grease, or dust. Sealing around 2 compartment sink coming apart. Wooden side table closest to swing door in poor condition.
Corrective Action(s): Clean all surfaces (sides and top of equipment, walls, floors, shelves) so that they are visibly clean. Correct immediately.
Regrout/recaulk around the sink. Correct by March 9, 2024.
