# OBSERVED IN CARE

Introduction

A scheduled/unscheduled follow up inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
Areas of non-compliance identified at the last routine inspection were reviewed today. Licensee had responded by email to the contraventions with addressing them as below:
11010 - Bathroom is clean; kitchen cupboard doors were cleaned and stove top cleared. (used today for art work)
12160 - Criminal record checks are in place for all members of the household apart from 1 over 12 years. Licensee had been to the CCFL office with the persons over 12 years to apply but only 1 of the clearances came back. Licensee is required to contact the Criminal Record Review Program to follow up and ensure the clearance is sent to CCFL.
12190 - All evacuation drills are recorded appropriately
19090 - Attendance records are now complete
19160 - All digital images are in place for the children.

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection

At this inspection dated February 14th 2020 there were 6 children and the Licensee present.
Today there were no contraventions.

The following discussion took place:
- Diaper changing procedure
- Ensuring using minor incident log book for noted minor injuries
- Ensuring a complete file is on site for the Licensee at all times
- Usage of available play space and ensuring the whole space is used to meet capacity allowance
- Staff exemption submitted and reviewed during inspection. Discussed requirements of the exemption and it's process. Reviewed staff files.
