Follow up inspection to previous inspection in response to a complaint of mice within the premises. Met with store manager to discuss action that has been taken.
Since the previous inspection, shelves in the aisles where high rodent activity was noted have been cleaned to remove food debris and rodent droppings. All damaged packages/food products have been discarded. Ensure that these areas are monitored and any additional droppings are cleaned in order to determine whether there is continued activity.
Pest Control company has set traps under shelving cases and will continue to monitor the additional traps 3 times per week.
Once population is decreased, a thorough clean under shelving units will be completed. Manager reported that floor under shelving will be cleaned daily once the additional traps have been removed.
Ongoing maintenance of the sanitation level of the shelving units is necessary to prevent future issues as well as monitor for problems.
