Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The sanitizer solution in the spray bottle was at concentrations of less than 200ppm chlorine upon arrival of inspector. Employee explained a new type of sanitizer chlorine was purchased and more concentrated than previous amounts therefore making it difficult to dispense. Facility does have test strips for chlorine. CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION. A small amount was added to bottle and tested.

Observation: Rodent droppings found in back corner of retail area.

Corrective Action(s): Spray rodent droppings with 200ppm chlorine solution or equivalent. Remove droppings from area. Wet affected area with 200ppm chlorine or equivalent and soak area.
Inspect facility for points of entry for pests. Seal any holes.
Have traps set in this area specifically as it appears to be a regular area for pest congregation.

Observation: The paper towel dispensing unit is not suitable for the washroom. The unit has come down from wall and a stand-up domestic kitchen type has been added to washroom.

NOTE: Dipper well was turned OFF during inspection as facility only turns on when ice cream is sold. Ensure that once ice cream sales begin again the dipper well is turned on

NOTE: The services of a PEST TECHNICIAN are to be increased to ONE TIME PER WEEK once the food court reopens with new restaurants. This will be required for all tenants to deal with increased volume of food production facilities and risk of rodent infestations in future.
