Observation: One hole was observed in the wall near the floor, located in the back area to the right of the electical panel. The hole was sealed with steel wool, but only partially/loosely (steel wool appears to have been placed there a long time ago).
Corrective Action(s): Ensure this hole is effectively sealed against pest entry. Monitor for new pest activity and reseal and locate any additional holes/gaps (if present) as needed. Date to be corrected by: February 28, 2024.

Follow up to Inspection Report # MBEK-D2HUX5.
Rice (non-acidified) stored at 4 degrees C or less.
Note: Operator proposing to acquire second rice cooker to limit the need for refrigeration of non-acidified rice.
Invoice for pest control service on February 20, 2024 was presented to the Environmental Health Officer. Pest control company did not provide a written report.
Areas affected by droppings were cleaned/sanitized however some areas appear to have been missed and were cleaned and sanitized during the inspection.
No signs of damaged or contaminated food product at time of inspection. Bins with lids have been obtained for storage, to minimize clutter and harborage areas and to facilitate easier cleaning and sanitizing. Additional storage bins or removal of items not required for business use may be required to further facilitate effective cleaning, sanitizing and monitoring of pest activity.
Hand sink basin not obstructed. Hand sink is supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
