Permanent Make Up & Microblading (Microbabe)
- ***Permanent make up equipment is covered with single use plastic sleeve that is discarded after each client and then 70% alcohol is used. Use a disinfectant such as the cleaner disinfectant brand wipes on site to disinfect permanent make up equipement after each use. **Check and use wipes before expiry date (note wipes on site have expired). Disinfectants should have Health Canada DIN number.
- Critical items are pre-packaged and sterile (needle with membrane, microblades/handle/pigment ring) and have expiry dates. Check dot turns blue (verify sterile) and use before expiry dates.
- Sharps is available to store discarded needles, blades, single use razors, etc.
- Non-critical items - use low level disinfectant as discussed.
- Other items disposable after each client (ink cups for permanent make up, etc.)
- Pigments have expiry dates - ok.
- Numbing cream - not checked today. If used, use one ok for use by tattoo artists (max 5% numbing agent).
- Alcohol antiseptic for skin preparation - use as per label.
- Room used by Microbabe has hand sink with hot/cold water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
- Non-latex disposable gloves available.
- Room is clean.
- Reviewed microblading info sheet and tattoo studio checklist with operator.
Lash lift, eyelash tinting (Microbabe)
- Using room with hand sink.
- Eyelash tints are labelled for use by trained person.
- Lash lift /brow laminant labelling - see first aid instructions.
- Plastic lash lift items and other items (metal brow comb) are disinfected with high level disinfectant. Note, disinfectant expires soon - new bottle on order.
- Tray container available for soaking items in disinfectant. Follow directions on label for safe and proper use of all chemicals.
Hair Services
- Clippercide disinfectant is available for disinfecting clippers.
- Barbicide is available in several containers (used by several hair stylists). Change barbicide as per label.
Notify Fraser Health before adding services or if there are changes to your operation.
