Observation: Observed packaged frozen salmon head and fresh salmon under ice in foam box to be sold on-site. Operator informed that they put salmon in bags to be sold in stores. Pictures taken.
Corrective Action(s): Cease operation of handling raw seafood to be put into bags. Facility is not permitted to re-package or handle any raw seafood from inside its original packaging. Facility only permitted to sell as is in its original packaging from suppliers. Corrected by: Today.

Observation: Observed vacuum sealer to be availale on-site. Operator informed it is broken and is not being used.

Routine Inspection conducted today.
Facility Approved to only re-packaged already packaged seafood. No handling of raw seafood is permitted.

Retail Area:
Stand-up coolers measured at 4C or lower.
Stand-up freezers and chest freezer measured at -18C or lower.

Warehouse Area:
Washroom handwashing sink well equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
Chlorine spray bottles to disinfect conveyor belt >200ppm. Mop sink available.
Walk-in freezer measured at -18C.

NOTE: Ensure that all vacuumed packed food are properly labelled by supplier.

Overall, facility is well organized and maintained.
