Introduction

An unscheduled routineinspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
LICENSING: 10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.
Observation: During inspection, Licensing observed that the current manager's name was not displayed in a promiment place in the facility.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the current manager's name is displayed in a prominent place in the facility.

Comments

At the inspection dated July 19, 2021 there were 12 children and 4 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified.

As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

A COVID-19 Risk Screening was also completed.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
- Health and Hygiene Practices (hand-washing, coughing, sneezing)
- Continue to follow COVID-19 Policy
- Continue cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Food preparation and allergies
- Precautions and practices for sick children and staff
- Reportable Incident procedures
