Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation: No chlorine based sanitizer measured at 100-200ppm chlorine available in the kitchen at the time of inspection.
Correction: Ensure chlorine based sanitizer measured at 100-200ppm in kitchen to ensure food contact surfaces are sanitized. Corrected by: Immediately.

Follow-up Inspection conducted today for report#JCHY-CH5U2V.
The following violations have been corrected in report#JCHY-CH5U2V.
-Chlorine sanitizer bucket measured at 200ppm.
-No food preparation or food storage observed in the back hallway.
-No frozen fish observed thawing in the back hallway.

Handwashing sink well equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels. Walk-in cooler measured at 4C. Preparation Cooler measured at 4C. Chest freezer measured at -18C. High-temperature dishwasher measured at 79.2C final rinse temperature.

Pictures taken of the back hallway. Observed to be clear of food preparation and storage.

Covering EHS manager informed that Closure Order may be rescinded if no food storage or food preparation were observed in the back hallway.

Shipment container located outside of premises used to store food still present and in use. 2 cooling units/freezers observed inside the shipment container and other dry goods and produce stored on the floor. Cooling units are measured at 4C and chest freezer measured at -7C.
Inform the operator that City of Surrey and/or By-law must be notified regarding using shipment container with exposed electrical cords from cooling units to be used for food storage for the business. They must have no objections in using shipment container for food storage for the business and that the electrical outlet is permitted.

Informed operator that at a later date that a compliance meeting will be scheduled with the EHS Manager, operator, and district inspector regarding chronic non-compliance in food preparation and storage in the back hallway and food storage not within the immediate vicinity of the premise.

Restaurant permitted to be re-opened. Closure order rescinded.
