Observation: Doors in the dining area of the banquet hall had gaps below them.
Corrective Action(s): Re-install weather-strips to prevent a gap below the doors since it is a potential entry point for pests.

307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: Two wooden shelving units used for dry storage are not made of non-absorbant, easy to clean, or smooth materials.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all storage shelving units are made of smooth, non-absorbant, easy to clean, durable, and non-toxic materials; Correct by November 22, 2019. Provide district Environmental Health Officer with a specification sheet of finishes of new shelving units prior to replacing them.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: 1) Previous broken floor tiles were removed however new floor tiles are still required to be installed near the cooking area/exit door.
2) Holes were present near the dishwashing area and between the floor to wall junctions near the upright cooler. Caulking was not in a sanitary and intact condition.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Re-install intact washable floor tiles near the cooking equipment; Correct by November 22, 2019.
2) Seal the holes in the above-mentioned areas and replace the caulking near the dishwashing area.

312 - Items not required for food premises operation being stored on the premises [s. 18]
Observation: Pots and pans were observed stored on the floor inside the food premises. These pots and pans were re-located from the shipping containers. It was mentioned that the extra pots and pans will be removed from the food premises.
Corrective Action(s): Either remove the extra pots and pans or store them at least 6 inches off the floor in the dry storage area; Correct by November 14, 2019.

Comments

-Pots and pans and dry sealed packages of food were re-located from the shipping containers inside the food premises.
-Two shipping containers were removed from the property.
-Section 32 Public Health Act Closure ORDER is still in effect for the shipping container with cooking equipment on it.
-Dishwasher final rinse gauge was in good working order (at least 82 degrees C for at least 10 seconds during the final rinse cycle).
-Dishwasher final rinse temperature was at least 71 degrees C (71.6 degrees C) at the plate.
-Tandoors located outside the food premises were removed from the premises.
-It was mentioned that one tandoor will be re-located to replace cooking equipment inside the food premises. Ensure you submit three hardcopies of floor plans for review and health approval prior to making any changes.
