Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Front handwash station hot water tap does not work and back handwash station had a pail of rags in it.
Corrective Action(s): Handwash stations must be easily accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels to facilitate proper handwashing. Hot water tap was repaired and pail was removed from the back handwash station.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Dry ingredient scoops are still being stored in dry ingredient containers.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure staff store scoops in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination.

Observation: Facility has retained the services of Ideal Pest Control Ltd on a monthly contract. Rat droppings were observed in the back area by the compressor.
Corrective Action(s): Contact the pest control operator to address the rat issue. Clean and sanitize all affected areas with a bleach solution as discussed during the previous inspection report.

Comments

-Follow-up inspection to May 31, 2016.
-Deli slicer has been properly disassembled for cleaning and sanitizing.
-Shelving units have been cleaned - ensure staff keep facility in a clean and sanitary condition at all times - this will also help prevent potential pest attraction.
-Sanitizer pails were labelled at the time of inspection. Ensure staff relabel containers, once labels begin to fall off.
-Operator has retained Ideal Pest Control Ltd on a monthly basis. Operator has contacted pest control to inspect facility tomorrow as a result of rat droppings being observed in the facility. Failure to control pest infestation, may result in the closure of the facility.
