Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Pestle and scissors to prepare wheat grass drinks being stored in standing, room temperature water. This condition can promote bacterial growth.
Corrective Action(s): - Store utensils in ice water when not in use to minimize bacterial growth.
- Ensure water is refreshed with ice throughout the day.

Observation: Cockroach casings noted in back area near dry storage and between standup freezer units.

- Second sink used for rinse step noted to be leaking water.

- In the mean time, wash dishes as follows:
1) Fill first sink with warm water and soap for wash step.
2) Drain first sink then fill with clean water for rinse step.
3) Fill third sink with warm water and sanitizer (quats) for sanitizing step.

- Container of yogurt on ice: 4 deg.C
- 2-door undercounter cooler: 2 deg.C
- Line cooler: 3 deg.C.
- Upright 2-door cooler: 2 deg.C
- 3-door upright freezer (right): -15 deg.C
- 3-door upright freezer (left): -13 deg.C.

General Comments:
- Quats sanitizer in spray bottle measured at 200ppm using test strip.
- Ice machine is clean and maintained. Ice scoop is stored with handle standing up in ice.
- Hand sinks have hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels available.
- Food in cold storage is covered and protected from contamination.
- Worker washes hand properly and at adequate frequency.
- Worker on site has valid FoodSafe certification (exp. 12-09-2023)


COVID-19 Comments:
- Discussed COVID-19 Safety Plan with worker. No Safety Plan was made available.
** Ensure premises has a COVID-19 Safety Plan on site and posted for workers and public to view, per PHO order from May 2020.
* Due: 1 week.

- Following COVID-19 Control measures observed:
- Worker wears face mask.
- Plexiglass set up at cash register.
- Occupancy limit is 5 customers in the store.
- Markers noted on ground for customers to maintain 2m distancing.
* Ensure hit-touch surfaces are being disinfected using a high level disinfectant (ex. 1000ppm bleach chlorine solution.)
- ex. 20ml of bleach to 1L of water.
* Regularly check WorkSafe BC website for info and updates regarding COVID-19.
