At the inspection dated June 7, 2019 there were 20 children and 4 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.
Licensee to submit written documentation to Licensing once violation has been addressed.
During inspection Licensing discussed "Active Supervision" with staff including a discussion around taking a written list of names of children, that staff have in their care, when they are out in small groups in the community.
* During inspection Licensing reminded the manager that the alcohol wipes in their first aid kit are a type of medicine, as they have a D.I.Number and therefore they must have written parental consent to use them. Manager stated they will remove them from the kits and replace them with a small container of soap and one of water, or will get written consent from parents for their use.
During inspection Licensing discussed offering more than one food group at snack time as children were only being offered fruit and vegetables during morning snack.
During inspection Licensing observed children participating in a bilingual circle time, transitioning to snack time and then going in groups to the community library. Licensing observed staff persons interacting with children while they participated in activities as well as giving warnings before time of transition.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
