Observation: 1) Rolled up carpets were being stored on the top rack in the dry storage area right above open bins of dry goods (chickpeas, etc).
2) Uncovered food by cooking area left out before placing in hot holding unit

Comments

Routine inspection conducted:
-Temple accepts dry food donations but only pre-packaged dry foods, no bulk/open food items permitted to be accepted for donations
-Walk in cooler is at 3.8 deg C
-Chest freezer beside walk in cooler : -19 deg C
-Dry storage area in sanitary condition-- foods stored off floor
-Hot holding unit at 60 deg C or greater
-Fumehood is clean
-Dry storage downstairs area: Chest freezer in this room was at -17 deg C
-No signs of pests observed downstairs, glue traps throughout
-Facility has pest control visits twice every month, most recent report was from August 23rd from Westside Pest Control and report indicated that no signs of any mice activity were found
-Bleach water sanitizer in spray bottle at 100 ppm chlorine residual
-High temperature dishwasher (conveyor dishwasher) achieved 71.2 deg C on rinse cycle
- 3 compartment sink used for large pots/utensils that do not fit in the dishwasher, bleach is being used in the dispenser at the 3rd compartment sink and is at 100 ppm chlorine residual.
-FoodSafe certified staff member (Surinder) was on site at time of inspection
-Temple president will be renewing his FoodSafe as it has expired:

2) Take the online level 1 refresher course.
