Observation: Rodent droppings were observed in the following areas:
-Lower table surface next to the stove-top
-Floor corner between the wall and side of the refrigeration unit.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and disinfect the aforementioned areas and remove the rodent droppings; Correct as soon as possible within 1 week. Contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection. Monitor for signs of recent pest activity and continue with integrated pest control measures (e.g. sealing off any holes/entry points, keeping entrance doors shut between use, keeping the food premises in a clean condition, storing dry food in enclosed cabinets/containers, having pest control visits as needed, etc.).

Observation: Thermometers were not available inside the refrigeration units at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that thermometers are available inside the refrigeration units to enable monitoring for safe refrigeration temperatures; Correct within two weeks.

Comments

It was mentioned that the food premises had just opened for the operating season.
A group using the food premises at the time of inspection was able to unlock the refrigeration unit they use to store milk and empty disposable cups.
Both domestic refrigeration units were at or below 4 degrees C.
Freezer components had satisfactory temperatures.
100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available inside a sanitizer pail with a wiping cloth.
Accelerated hydrogen peroxide disinfectant was available for the tables in the seating area as well.
It was mentioned that the seniors groups that use the food premises (for sweets, tea, and eating samosas/pakoras obtained from approved sources) clean and disinfect the tables before and after each session.
Handsink was adequately supplied.
Hand sanitizer was also available on-site.
Light covers were encased in shatterproof covers.
