209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): OBSERVATION The following food items were stored on the floor. 1.) Bag of potatoes in the root crop isle. 2.) Bag of onions at the back of house. 3.) Oatmeal bags dry foods isle and in front of vegetable display cooler Corrective Action(s): CORRECTIVE ACTION Store all foods at least 6 in or 15 cm above of the ground (REPEAT VIOLATION) Violation Score: 3 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: OBSERVATION Mouse droppings were observed on the floor near the dry storage area at the back of house. Corrective Action(s): CORRECTIVE ACTIONS 1.) Clean and sanitize the droppings and the area noted above. 2.) Remove clutter and properly store and organize items at the back of house 3.) Consider changing pest company. * Talk to the owner (owner was not onsite). * NOTE : Pest control company comes in at least once a month> Date To Be Corrected By : 2 weeks (June 6th, 2023) Violation Score: 3 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: OBSERVATION A huge hole was observed at the back of house near the washrooms. Corrective Action(s): CORRECTIVE ACTION Seal the hole and make necessary repairs to prevent entry of pests in the premises. Cracks were observed. Corrective Action(s): CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the glass to maintain the cold temperature of the cooler and to accomodate for proper cleaning.
