Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation: Upon inspection the fire drills for May and June were not recorded
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure there is a record respecting compliance with section 22(b) and (c).

Comments

At the inspection dated July 18, 2023 there were 3 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above contravention was identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. This report was discussed with the Licensee and a copy provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Valid CRC’s are available, reviewed expiry dates
· Lead in Water
· Care Plans
· Staff Files
