Introduction

This is a follow-up inspection completed with the Manager to the routine inspection report #CRAU-BHQQTF (completed November 1, 2019 and November 8, 2019).

Contraventions
Previous Inspection -
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 31290 - RCR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must ensure that all rooms and common areas are (b) maintained in a good state of repair.
Observation: As per November 1 and 8, 2019 routine inspection report comment: The front patio deck and railings noted in various locations/areas the paint is chipping and the patio deck when viewed from the front of the home noted green spots in some locations (it is not clear if this is moss or rotting).
Corrective Action(s): The Manager stated on December 11, 2019 that a request to maintenance has been put in to address this and another request will be sent to maintenance again.
Date to be Corrected: Please keep the writer updated on this item and when it is completed/fully addressed.


Comments

Second floor dining room (adjacent to the kitchen):

* The white patch on the wall has been painted.

Downstairs bedroom:

* The wall with the white patch(es) has been sanded and painted. The Manager will ensure the wall phone jack/box will be anchored better against the wall.

Driveway:

* Noted with cracks in it in various locations. Please monitor this and address this as required.

Aster Directory Binder:

* Contact information appears to be updated.

Continuing Education for staff preparing and delivering food:

* The Manager responded to this item in-writing via e-mail on November 15, 2019 stating nutrition discussions/training will be implemented at staff meetings and documented in the meeting minutes. In addition, staff will take part in any Fraser Health nutrition training sessions.

Health Care Plans:

* The Manager will touch base with the HSCL (Health Services Community Living) Nurse to see if a health care plan for a person in care is still relevant and if still relevant when it will be reviewed and/or revised. If the health care plan is not relevant this will also be discussed with the HSCL Nurse as well. The Manager will e-mail the Licensing Officer as to the outcome of this review with the HSCL Nurse.

Milieu Personal Profile and Tab #2 in persons in care binders/charts:

* A random review of one person in care's binder/chart indicated it was updated.
