Comments

- Evidence of rodent activity has significantly decreased since the last inspection. Full operation (all food preparation, cooking, and service) have resumed on-site.
- Operations Manager and food handlers report that rodent activity has improved, minimal new droppings, no new sightings.
- Operations Manager demonstrated that the following actions have been taken since the last inspection:
- Door sweeps installed on cooler, freezer, and storage room doors.
- All food stored in tight-lid plastic totes.
- Cleaning has been completed. School has now added vacuuming as part of the cleaning regimen to remove droppings from hard to reach corners and edges.
- Increased rodent trap placement.
- Large hole on metal shelf in island prep area has been sealed.
- Corners/ edges on island prep area have been sealed with foam. School has further sealed area with duct tape.
**While the duct tape has appear to have worked for the last couple of weeks, it is starting to peel and is not an acceptable long-term solution. An alternative solution is required to replace duct tape seal - all surfaces must be durable, smooth, non-absorbent, and easily washable.**
- Pest control company monitoring service continues to be 2x/ week.
- Operations Manager has been monitoring cleaning and reports cleaning deficiencies to the school for additional follow-up.

**Continue to work with school administration, custodian, and pest control management company to address cleaning requirements, expectations, and pest control measures.
**Address potential nesting sites in the premises and close to the premises.
**Continue to monitor pest activity and take immediate corrective actions if new and/ or increased activity is observed.
**Ensure all areas are accessible for pest control service.
**Physical traps and control measures only. Use of bait is not permitted in the food premises.

**School will be closed in March for 2 weeks and during July - August for summer. The following actions are to be taken during school closures:

Spring Break:

- All food to be stored in tight lid plastic totes.
- Thorough cleaning to be conducted at the end of food preparation before school closes for 2 weeks.
- Operations Manager has scheduled to conduct a site inspection during the second week of closure and identify any cleaning and/ or additional pest control measures that must be taken before school reopens after spring break.

Summer Break:

- All food must be removed from the premises.
- All packaging/ boxes, and potential nesting materials must be removed.
- Operations Manager to communicate with school regarding any structural deficiencies that can be addressed and corrected over the summer break.
- Operations Manager to schedule a site inspection during the last week of August (school administrators on-site) and identify any cleaning and/ or additional pest control measures that must be taken before school opens in September.
