201 - Food contaminated or unfit for human consumption [s. 13] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A bag of flour (Atta Chakki) had signs of gnawing (rodent activity) and the bag was ripped. Manager voluntarily discarded the bag at the time of inspection. Corrective Action(s): Any damaged bag with clear signs of gnawing must be discarded due to potential risk of food contamination. 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: *REPEATED VIOLATION* Rodent droppings observed throughout the facility. However, heavy rodent dropping and rodent activity in the following areas: - Aisle 6, 7, 8 & 9 - Bulk bin shelving units - Area used for storing flour/rice bags (wooden pallets) - Corners - Bakery dry storage Low rodent droppings observed in the corners and from Aisle 1 to 5 Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the facility is kept free of pests to prevent the risk of potential food contamination from rodent urine & feces. - Regularly clean and disinfect the affected areas with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution. Use proper PPE during cleaning. - Contact your Pest Control Company and reconsider the control measures. - Monitor for new pest activity on daily basis. - Seal any gap/hole that could be a potential entry point.
