Observation: A new bookshelf has been added to the playroom that has not been secured to the wall. Several heavy items are stored on this unit that could pose a risk to the children in care. The Licensee removed the heavy items during the inspection and relayed that the shelf would be affixed to the wall over the weekend.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure furniture and equipment is safe and sturdy and free from hazards.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11230 - CCLR s.47 - A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation: The water temperature in the basement bathroom was recorded at 54.5* Celsius. Children use this tap to wash their hands and the recorded temperature poses as risk.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure heated water that children have access to does not exceed 49* Celsius.
