On November 15, 2021, Licensing received a complaint regarding Care and Supervision. The complainant provided the following: - A person in care was provided foods on several occassions that did not promote their cultural, religious, and spiritual customs - The medical doctor was not notified after the person in care was involved in a reportable incident All areas of the complaint was fully investigated. The evidence was obtained through interviews and documentation. Licensing determined the following contraventions: - Section 77(2)(b) of the Residential Care Regulations - Reportable Incidents - Section 82 of the Residential Care Regulations - Implementation of Care Plans - Section 7 (1)(b)(ii) of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Standards to be maintained, Schedule 2 (c) Rights to health, safey and dignity. |
