Introduction

This is a scheduled follow-up inspection to the routine inspection report # CRAU - ADDNZ5 dated September 1, 2016. The Manager was present during the follow-up inspection.
Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #CRAU - ADDNZ5 have been corrected except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 31100 - RCR s.17 - A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.
Observation: A random review at one sink in the washroom by the office, the hot water temperature was 51.4 degrees Celsius. The Manager checked the hot water temperature with their thermometer and the reading was 50.4 degrees Celsius. The Manager adjusted the hot water temperature at the hot water tank.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all sinks, tubs/showers accessible by persons in care are maintained at 49 degrees Celsius or lower at all times.
