Comments

At the inspection dated January 23, 2023 there were 9 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· A conversation was had with the manager regarding a care plan that was created regarding a child with severe allergies who required the administering of an EPI-PEN. The plan was created according to the registration form written by the parent, however the course of action is not in the best interest of the child. An anaphylaxis care plan will be emailed to the program coordinator by the LO and was advised to provide the form to the parents for a more accurate course of action that is in the best interest of the child. The manager said that they are working with the parent on providing them with a more comprehensive plan of action that is in the best interest of the child.
· Active Supervision
· Lead in the Water

The following resources were provided:
· Reportable Incident Bulletin
· Reportable incident forms
· Care Plan Bulletin
