Observation: Rodent droppings were noted in the following areas:
1. Aisle 7, 8 & 9
2. Along the walls, corners and bottom shelving near bulk bin area
3. Dry storage room of bakery department
Corrective Action(s): - Contact your pest control company and discuss more effective approach to control pest issues.
- Regularly clean/remove the mouse droppings and disinfect the affected area with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution.
- Monitor for any new rodent activity.
- Seal any gaps/holes which are still present and may act as potential pest entry points.
- Keep the doors closed and have screen doors in place, if needed.
- Store boxes/containers off the floor to facilitate regular cleaning and monitoring of new rodent activity.

Comments

Inspection conducted to follow up on pest issues noted during routine inspection (report #TGIL-CF7NR8).

Findings:
- Improvement noted in the following areas in terms of rodent activity:
Snack bar
Under 3 compartment sink located in bakery department
Aisle 7, 8 & 9
- Pest Control Company conducts weekly checks.
- Mechanical and sticky traps were present throughout the facility except bulk bin area.
- Manager stated that the affected areas are regularly cleaned and monitored for new rodent activity.

Actions required:
- Install traps near bulk bin area to control rodent activity. Focus on this area first as the rodent droppings were observed on the bottom shelves where food products are stored which could be potentially contaminated.
