Observation: Front display cooler at 8c.
Corrective Action(s): All coolers must be at 4c (40F) at all times. Fix the front display cooler so that it is at 4c or below at all times.

Observation: Plastic bags were being used for the storage of frozen food items.
Corrective Action(s): All storage containers and bags should be foodgrade. Transfer all items to food grade containers/bags (ie. ziploc freezer bags) that are made for the storage of food items.

Observation: Lighting fixture in back storage area is not working at this time.
Corrective Action(s): Repair the lights. This must be completed by August 24, 2018.

Comments

Routine inspection.
Menu is still the same; No additions or changes have been made to menu.
A copy of the latest menu was provided to Environmental Health Officer during inspection.
Handwashing stations are equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and paper towels.
Walk in cooler at 4c.
Freezers at -23c.
Note: Stand up freezer and insert cooler are not in operation at this time.
No hot holding units are used onsite.
Temperature log is available and recorded daily. THIS IS EXCELLENT!
Bleach water sanitizer was found in labelled spray bottle at 200ppm concentration. Ensure to add only 1 (1 capful) tablespoon of bleach to 1L (spray bottle) full of water.
Overall sanitation is good.
Pest control is in place.
APNA pest control is contracted for pest control inspections.
No pest issues noted during time of inspection.
A copy of last inspection was available onsite and provided to Environmental Health Officer.
All foods are located off the floor.
Keep all foods and ingredients in closed containers at all times.
All food containers are labelled.
Operator/employees have foodsafe certification.
Overall good hygiene for all employees.
Employees are wearing aprons and have hair tied back.

2. Reminder: If any employees are wearing rings or jewelry, please ensure they take off their jewelry or wear gloves when preparing foods.
3. Reminder: Do not use bar soap. Operator informed bar soap is not being and was discarded during this inspection.
4. Dispenser for liquid soap is missing in front washroom. Replace by August 24, 2018.
