Observation: Paper cup stored within and used as a dispenser in a bulk sugar container.
Corrective Action(s): Discard the paper cup and use a proper dispenser with a handle instead. Store dispenser with handle extending out and not in contact with food or store outside container.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1. Organic and buildup noted in the interior, door and door gasket of the keg reach-in cooler.
2. Carbon and grease buildup noted on the deep fryer's back splash area and interior of the cabinet.
3. Dried on food debris noted in the interior of the 2-door reach-in cooler.
4. Heavy dust buildup noted on the ceiling vent.
5. Mildew buildup noted on the soft drink ice dispenser.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the aforementioned areas and maintain in a sanitary condition.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: Wash and rinse temperature gauges were not working when the dish machine was in operation.
Corrective Action(s): Note: As per supervisor, they are aware of the issue and is awaiting for parts to fix the broken gauges.
Repair the temperature gauges as the facility does not have a water-proof thermometer and therefore must rely on the gauges to determine if the dish machine is capable of reaching the required temperatures for proper washing and sanitation of the dishwares.

Observation: Missing thermometer in the upright white freezer.
Corrective Action(s): Place a working thermometer in the upright white freezer.
All refrigerator and freezer units must have a functioning thermometer to allow food handler to determine the unit is maintaining within the proper temperature range.

Routine inspection conducted today:
Handwash stations, including the washrooms, accessible, equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel.
All refrigeration units were at ≤ 4C.
All freezer units were at ≤ -18C.
All food stored protected, at least 6 inches off the floor and in the proper hierarchy.
Food held > 60C in the hot hold units.
400 ppm QUAT detected in 3 sanitizer spray bottles.
Drain plugs available for the 2-compartment sink.
High temperature dish machine was able to reach 71.3C at the plate level during the rinse cycle.
Fume hood noted in excellent sanitary condition.
All chemicals noted with a proper name label (note: 2 of the name labels are starting to fade, please replace). Chemicals noted stored away from food.
No signs of pest activities noted during the inspection.
General organization noted satisfactory.
FOODSAFE level 1 for the supervisor on-site at the time of inspection available and verified - expires July 25, 2026.
