304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: Ant infestation in staff room - ants on floor under counter and observed entering wall cavity through cracks in grout between floor and baseboard. Ant infestation in front of house behind prep coolers - ants on floor entering wall cavity between back wall and floor. Previous silicone not applied correctly to provide any seal between wall and floor. Corrective Action(s): Pest activity is to be addressed by pest control service. Pesticide to address ant activity to be applied by certified pest control applicator. After pesticide application, affected areas to be thoroughly cleaned. Gaps allowing ant harborage in walls at both locations are to be sealed off to prevent further pest movement within premise. Violation Score: 9

Required premise cleaning has been conducted since previous inspection. Milk crates have been removed from back hallway. Dry good inventory re-organized and stored on dry shelving units available. Customer washroom handsink plumbing has been repaired and use of handsink restored.
