Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
Risk screening was conducted prior to the inspection.
The following areas were reviewed for compliance:
- Licensing
- Physical Facility
- Care and supervision
- Hygiene practices
- Program
- Child emergency records

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection

At today’s inspection there were 23 children between the 4 programs and 5 staff present.

Licensing reviewed the facility’s COVID-19 prevention strategies and noted the following:
- Health and safety system in place in response to Pandemic which is posted for public review
- Physical distancing strategies in place where appropriate
- Hygiene practices followed according to Provincial Health Officer guidelines

At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

Facility has been receiving Licensing Officer’s emails.
The following resources were provided at the time of inspection:
- COVID-19 resource package
- How to wash hands posters

Licensing may conduct a follow up inspection at a later date to review administrative documentation relating to care plans and reporting.
