Observation: Rodent droppings were observed in the following areas:
- Around the hot water tank on the floor.
- Corners and under the shelving units in the back
- Front area under the shelf near rice cooker
Corrective Action(s): Please contact your pest control company and consider frequent inspections.
- Regularly monitor for any new pest activity.
- Remove rodent droppings regularly from the affected area to see any new activity. Use 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution to disinfect the affected areas.
Please send your pest control reports to the district EHO until advised otherwise.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted.

Findings:
- Temperature of all prep coolers (x3), walk in cooler, front reach in cooler and beverage cooler recorded at or below 4C
- Stand up freezer recorded at -19C
- Hot holding units for cooked rice and soup recorded above 60C
- Handwash sink was available and had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.
- 2 compartment dishwashing sink available and 200ppm QUATS recorded at dispensing unit.
- High temp mechanical dishwasher reached 73.8C on plate level during rinse cycle.
- 200ppm QUATS recorded in sanitizing pail.
- Food storage practices were found satisfactory.
- Individual scoops were assigned to each insert in prep coolers. Good.
- Prep cooler lids were kept closed when not in use. Good.
- Traps observed in the front area.
- Operating permit was posted at the front.
- Staff on duty had valid FS Level 1 equivalent (Sep 2027).

NOTE - There are ongoing pest issues at the facility. Please have a discussion with your current pest control company and consider implementing more effective control measures. Please email a copy of inspection reports for each check conducted by pest control company to your district EHO. Business card provided to the staff onsite.
