Introduction

Contraventions
Previous Inspection -
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: During inspection Licensing observed the following:
Outdoors:
-6 dog feces.
-Electrical wire plugged into the outdoor electric outlet to a vehicle parked outside of the fence.
-Unused Table saw
-Water hose accessible through the opening of the fence.
Indoors:
Children's cubbies were inaccessible as Licensing observed that this area is used for storage, making it difficult for children to use their cubbies. Manager said that children are not allowed to use their cubbies as she retrieves items from the cubby for them.

Manager said that all of these items are usually not present, and she had planned to remove them today before the children went outside to play. Licensing discussed the importance of having a system in place to keep indoor and outdoor spaces accessible and free of hazards, especially in areas of the home where care is provided.
Corrective Action(s): Have a system in place to ensure that the cubby area and outdoor yard is maintained daily to provide a healthy and safe environment while children are in care.
Date to be Corrected: 21 July 2023
