Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle had [Cl2] of 0ppm. Staff explained that they do not make a new solution until the spray bottle is empty. The strength of the sanitizer decreases with time and exposure to light and temperature.
Corrective Action(s): Dump out the sanitizer and mix up a new bleach and water solution. A new solution must be made up every 2 days. Retrain staff when to make a fresh bleach solution. During the inspection, a new bleach solution was made and [Cl2] was above 200ppm.

Observation: The F'real freezer, storing the ice cream, has a broken door gasket/seal. This allows cold air to leak out and warm air to enter, which in turn causes the cooling motor to work harder. The life of the motor will break down faster.
Corrective Action(s): Replace the broken door gasket/seal on the door, so the freezer can eaily maintain -18C at all times.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C or colder; freezers -21C or colder; thermometers present.
- Hand sinks stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle had [Cl2] above 200ppm.
- No expired foods for sale. FIFO rules being followed.
- All foods stored 6" off the floor on shelves, racks or on platforms.
- Non-foods stored away/separated from food items.
- General sanitation level is good. No signs of pests.
- Infection Control measures in place, such as:
Hand sanitizer available for staff and patrons
Plexiglass barrier at pay areas
Physical distancing being maintained between staff and patrons
- Discussed inspection results with staff member. No signature obtained due to the pandemic.
