- Hand-washing basins are stocked with water, soap, and single-use towels
*Hot water has been temporarily shut-off in preparation for plumbing inspection from the City of Coquitlam. Ensure employees wash their hands for an extended duration to compensate for the lack of hot water. In addition, use the hand sanitizer (after washing) as an added measure until the plumbing inspection is completed and hot water is restored.
- Refrigeration temperatures are ≤4o Celsius
- Freezer temperatures are satisfactory
- Chlorine food-contact surface sanitizer solution available at ≥100ppm concentration
- Overall sanitation is good
- No pest activity observed during inspection

Re: addition of the deli department:
- Plumbing inspection is scheduled to occur today (City of Coquitlam) for the additions
- Application package provided to operator for the addition of the deli
- The following items are required prior to commencing operations in the deli department:
1) Submit an application for health approval
2) Provide written Food Safety and Sanitation Plans for the deli department (instructions for completing these documents are provided in the application package)
3) Provide copies of Foodsafe level 1 certificates for operators/staff that will be working in the deli (provincial regulations require at least 1 Foodsafe-certified employee on-site during operating hours)
4) Prepare a cheque for payment of the operating permit fee (pro-rated amount, based on an annual fee of $150.00--this will be collected during the deli inspection)
5) Schedule an inspection of the deli department, once construction has completed and operations are ready to commence
