Comments

Summary of Inspection:
The COVID-19 Pre-screening was conducted at the door.
During today’s inspection, the facility manager, 2 staff,1 support staff, and 13 children were on site.
At this inspection no contraventions were identified.

The following was discussed:
The bathroom paper towel rolls were stored on the counter, there was also air hand dryers. It was discussed that if the children were to have access to "one-use" paper towels they should be in one-use sections and not as a roll where many hands can touch the roll as they tear off a piece. Manger stated those would be stored elsewhere, as the children are using the air dryers.
Three staff files were reviewed, one staff file contained an expired criminal record check(CRC). The staff stated that her CRC was up to date and is stored at the head office. It was discussed that there should be record on site that states the staff files are complete and up-to-date at head office, as there appeared to be a spreadsheet with this information in the past.
The emergency evacuation plan, and the monthly fire drill plans were reviewed and discussed. Licensing reviewed CCLR section 22. The facility complies with this piece of legislation.
