Comments

** Dishwasher, kitchen sink, and beverage area handsink not in use at time of inspection. Operator advised that a water leak was discovered last night and maintenance suspects that it is caused by dishwasher. Premises posted signs advising to not use water sources in kitchen area as a precautionary measure until dishwasher is repaired. Signage posted also advised that laundry sink is available to use if required. Washroom sinks in upstairs area are operational. Staff on-site advised that premises will not be preparing meals until dishwasher and/ or source of water leak is repaired. Premises has already planned to obtain take-out food for residences in the meantime. Single use disposable dishes and cutlery will be used. Dishwasher is scheduled to be repaired today.
** Operator reviewed manual dishwashing and sanitizing method - operator demonstrated knowledge. 200 ppm chlorine bleach solution used to sanitize dishes.
** Contact the undersigned once the dishwasher and source of leak have been repaired.

- Coolers are operating at acceptable temperatures (≤4 deg C) and freezers are maintaining product in a frozen state:
- Kitchen Fridge/ Freezer: 4 deg C/ -15 deg C
- Storage Room Fridge Freezer: 3 deg C/ -18 deg C
- Storage Room Cooler: 4 deg C
- Storage Room Upright Freezer: -14 deg C
- Coolers are equipped with thermometers. Cooler temperatures are monitored and recorded twice daily.
- Food storage practices appear satisfactory - storage is organized, food is protected from contamination.
- 200 ppm chlorine bleach sanitizer available for sanitizing food contact surfaces.
- General sanitation of premises kitchen and storage room appears satisfactory.
- No pest activity noted at time of inspection.

- FOODSAFE requirements satisfied at time of inspection. Staff on duty has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate.

Note: Facility has a 10 bed capacity. No food preparation or handling at time of inspection.
