Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Black food debris observed to be in the interior surfaces of the microwave.
Corrective action: Clean and sanitize the interior surfaces of the microwave.
Rationale: Physical contaminants, eg. food debris, can fall into the food while microwaving, which can potentially make people sick.

Comments

General observations noted during the inspection.
1. Temperatures
-All coolers (beverage and open display) maintained at 4C or colder.
-Walk-in cooler maintained at 2C.
-Bagged ice, ice-cream and chest freezer maintained at -18C.
-Thermometers observed in all refrigeration units.
-Temperature checks performed three times per day and in-use.

2. Sanitation
-QUATS sanitizer measured to be at 200ppm.
-Two compartment sinks with drain plugs available for manual warewashing.
-Handsinks equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel.
-Washrooms observed to be in sanitary condition. Both staff and customer washrooms' handsinks observed to have liquid soap, hot/cold running water and single use hand drying material.
-Hot chocolate and coffee machine observed to be in sanitary condition.

3. Dry food storage
-All foods covered and stored off the floor.
-Random foods (eg. cheese sticks and canned tuna) checked for expiry dates and observed to be not expired.

4. Pest control
-Professional pest control company services the premises monthly.
