Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two cartons of cream stored in the red bull cooler was measured at 7.2C and best before date was May 13 and May 16, 2018
Corrective Action(s): Informed owner previously that the red bull cooler cannot keep potentially hazardous food. Cream discarded. Adjust the red bull cooler so it is at 4C or colder OR store milk for coffee in a working cooler in the back.

Observation: Observed cases of prepackaged dry Iranian food being stored on the floor in the back storage room.
Corrective Action(s): Do not store food directly on the ground. Store food 6 inches off the floor (shelf or crates underneath boxes).

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Observed ants around hot chocolate machine, behind slurpee machine (dead ants), lots near entrance and trailing to the front cahsier area. Flies noted throughout the facility.
Corrective Action(s): Please increase sanitation and clean up any spills on the floor.

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: Main front entrance door is open and this is where ants were predmominately identified.
Corrective Action(s): Close the door after use and do not leave it open. This also prevent cotton from entering facility as well.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Flooring around perimeter of the facility needs to be cleaned, especially around coffee/slurpee station and floor of walk-in cooler. Note the pest issue identified on code 304.
Corrective Action(s): Please properly clean and sanitize the faciility using bleach sanitizer.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Observed two clear containers of raisins and roasted chickpeas stored by the stack of prepackged, mixed raisins and roasted chickpeas. Owner's wife informed that the owner separates the chickpeas and raisins as customers may want different flavours only. Customers will ask the owners to dispense these food items and they use gloves to dispense. The clear container of ginger cookies were informed to be for staff only but there is a ladle on top of the container and a clear container with ginger cookies inside.
Corrective Action(s): This facility is NOT permitted to process or repackage food. It is only permitted to sell pre-packaged food as indicated last visit. Remove the clear containers of raisins and roasted chickpeas, as well as ginger cookies. Consult Health Unit to determine if you would still like to repackage food.

*Bakalava and coconut cookies are made and delivered by Nasim, invoice available. Coconut cookie is prepackaged and baklava is dispensed in the front by cashier using tong.
**Yogurt, ice cream, various cookies and cakes, invoice available. All noted items are pre-packaged but some are missing proper label. To follow up.
***Owner's wife mentioned about starting hot dogs again. Do NOT add hot dog service without Health Approval as explained.
