Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Liquid soap was not available at the handsink inside the men's washroom at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Staff member restocked the liquid soap dispenser with liquid soap during the inspection. Ensure handsinks are kept supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Floor tiles appear to be missing in certain areas of the food premises (e.g. floor gap behind the cook line, floor beneath and behind the dispensing equipment in the front service area). Floor liner is partly broken in the dry storage room near the walk-in-cooler. Several floor tiles appear broken throughout the food service establishment.
Corrective Action(s): Flooring is required to be made of sealed, easy to clean, smooth, durable, non-toxic, and impermeable to moisture materials. Ensure broken and missing floor tiles and floor liner is replaced with new intact floor tiles; Correct within 6 months. If renovations with a different flooring material are proposed, submit a finishes schedule to the Environmental Health Officer for review and health approval prior to making the changes to the floor plan.

Observation: A thermometer was not available inside the small prep. cooler at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure the above-noted cooler is equipped with an accurate thermometer; Correct by September 8, 2022.

Comments

Handsinks in the food service establishment were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels via wall-mounted dispensers.
Walk-in-cooler and other refrigeration units were at or below 4 degrees C.
Walk-in-freezer and other freezers were at or below -18 degrees C.
Hot-holding was not occurring at the time of inspection (current gravy batch had run out and patties were being cooked to order at the time of inspection).
3-compartment sink was operational.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available.
No signs of recent pest activity were evident at the time of inspection.
Staff member with valid FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent training was present on shift in the initial absence of the Manager (who arrived later during the inspection).
Signature on this report is not required due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
