Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) an the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance. .

Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation: The fire extinguisher decal expired on July 27, 2022.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the fire extinguisher is serviced once eery 12 months.

Comments

At the inspection dated September 21, 2022 there were four children an one staff present. At the inspection the above contravention was noted. The Licensee will take action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a written response to the Licensing Officer. The Licensing Officer will review the response. As part of the inspection, a facility risk assessment tool is completed and a copy provided. This report was reviewed with the manager, written on site and a copy provided.

Renewing a criminal record check and I/T Certificated several months before they expire.
