Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP).
The purpose of the inspection was to review the physical facility and health & hygiene practices. This inspection was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 prevention strategies were noted and discussed.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated April 9, 2020 there were 2 children and 1 adult present.
Due to Covid-19 no signatures were obtained for this report. The report was written at the CCFL office and emailed to the Licensee.

As part of the routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year “historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.
The following discussions were had:
- Licensing noted a child who is not immunized. A discussion was had with the Licensee about a plan for that child in the event a outbreak were to occur.
- Licensing reviewed disinfecting practices for toys and surfaces
