- Premises is a storage/distribution warehouse and re-packages and manufactures alternate snacks (crisps, clusters and granolas)
- Warehouse walk-in cooler 4C. No potentially hazardous foods present.
- Chest freezer is R&D area at -21C
- Handsink present in re-packaging area and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel
- Handsink present at entrance to production area and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel
- Hairnets worn in production and re-packaging areas
- Metal detectors have been installed for packing machines
- Perox-E (hydrogen peroxide and peroxyacetic acid based) sanitizer used on food equipment and food contact surfaces. Used at concentration which does not require a rinse step.
- Food safety procedures (HACCP) in place.
- Pest control contract (Ecolab) in place with weekly service. Reviewed reports at time of the inspection. Noted holes within facility have been filled with steel wool and glue boards, snap traps and catch traps present. Plant Mgr reported Pest Control services have been increased due to construction in the surrounding area.
