- Premises is a hookah lounge that serves tea and desserts (cookies, cakes).
- Noted a new nespresso machine on site. Minimal food handling required. Coffee comes in pods. Compartment of milk for the nespresso machine kept in one door upright dessert cooler unit and is attached to nespresso machine when needed for capaccinos, lattes...etc.
- Sugar and rock candies (sticks) come individually packaged
- Do not add/change any menu items without health approval. Operator inquired about possible layout changes - submit proposed floor plans and do not make any changes to the layout of the premises without health approval.
- Inquired about microwave. Operator said that it is used for his own food and occasionally heating up cookies if any customers request.
- Desserts obtained from approved sources. Invoices provided from Fortuna Bakery (cakes) and Pane e Formaggio Operations (cookies).
- One door dessert cooler 4C, one door beverage cooler 3C
- Quat sanitizer in spray bottle 200ppm. Quat test strips available.
- Low temperature dishwasher had 50ppm chlorine. Chlorine test strips available.
- All foods appeared protected (ie. stored off the ground, covered, separate from hookah equipment...etc)
- All hand wash stations fully equipped (soap, paper towel hot and cold running water) and unobstructed
- No obvious signs of pest infestation noted at time of inspection.
- Designated room set up for hookah equipment. Single use disposable tips used for customers.
- Reminded operator of foodsafe level 1 recertification requirements. Pamphlet provided.
