A follow-up inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- The front sushi display cooler was 4C; the u/c front cooler was 4C; and the upright double door cooler was 4C. Owner indicated that the repair person had to add gas into the units and clean them. The coolers can now store perishable food items in them.
- The back domestic fridge will be replaced next week. Do NOT store any perishable foods in this cooler as it is above 4C.
- Thermometers found in all cooler and freezer units.
- The walls and splash guard in the back kitchen area have been cleaned. Ensure these areas are cleaned daily.
- The dishwasher is still not fixed as the wrong parts were ordered. The correct parts will arrive in a month, if this doesn't fix the unit then a new dishwasher will be installed. Staff will continue to place dishes in the dishwasher to wash them, and then sanitize them by soaking in a hot water and bleach solution. Allow to air dry to evaporate the chemicals off.
- Go to www.foodsafe.ca to register for the FoodSafe Level 1 Refresher course. Owner and staff will be completing this within a month.
