STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: A Criminal Record Check (CRC) on file for one staff was observed to be from another organization. CRC's are not transferable between organizations.
Corrective Action(s): Please obtain a CRC for Hand in Hand Child Care Society. This may be done by completing a "sharing form" through the Criminal Record Review Program.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19150 - CCLR s.57(2)(h)(ii) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (h) any special instruction respecting the child's diet, medication, participation in a program of activities, or other matter relevant to the child's care (ii) agreed to by the licensee.
Observation: Manager stated that one child in care has a medication on site when in attendance but does not have a record showing special instruction respecting the medication.
Corrective Action(s): Manager stated that a form was provided to the parent to complete with the required information but the form has not yet been returned. Please obtain.
