Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation: A phone charging cord was observed on the sofa accessible to children. Corrective Action(s): Please ensure to provide a healthy and safe environment at all time while children are in attendance. Date to be Corrected: Corrected during inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated September 19, 2023 there were 3 children in attendance with the Licensee. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified and corrected during inspection.
